DEBATING MATTERS 2006/07

The Institute of Ideas & Pfizer Debating Matters Competition 2006/07 begins in October, with the first round taking place in Newcastle upon Tyne on 4 October. The response to this year’s competition has been tremendous, and in many areas we are now over-subscribed with more schools applying to take part than we can accommodate.

We are delighted that the Cheltenham Festival of Literature is hosting one of the qualifying rounds for the second year running, and that one of the judges will be Magnus Magnusson. The Cheltenham qualifying round will be held on Thursday 12 October in the Book It! Tent, Cheltenham Town Hall. The event is free but you do need to book tickets in advance.

If you are interested in becoming a Debating Matters judge please contact Helen Birtwistle on 020 7269 9232 or email helenbirtwistle@instituteofideas.com
